The beach of the bay is generally referred to as Balaclava. The beach and bay is shared by three hotel resorts namely; Maritim Hotel, La Plantation and The Oberoi Mauritius. The beach is split by a river “Citron” with Maritim on one side and La Plantation and The Oberoi Mauritius on the other side.
