Majority of the houses offered by Maurisun are basically located on the beach. The apartment & studio on the other hand is generally within a short walk to the beach. We have classified the location as follows:

Beach Front = on the beach side with direct access to the sea. Distance depends on the size of garden if any.
2nd/3rd Row = accommodation located behind Beach Front property i.e. 2nd or 3rd or where a small coastal road is separating the accommodation from the seaside.
Walking Distance = accommodation located within walking distance from the seaside/beach.

Rates

Prices are based on 2 persons in one unit with a supplement per extra person.
The colour code is an indication of the services included, in the rate, for each property.

Description

The accommodation is mainly self-catering category and generally located close to groceries, supermarket, café, and restaurant, which give total freedom where to dine. Each accommodation description holds a small general description, a small description of the accommodation and a fact sheet with the most important features. Additionally an area description is provided i.e. for Trou aux Biches or Grand Bay area etc.

Service

Maid service is normally between 2 to 3 hrs everyday except Sunday & public holiday. The Maid is there for cleaning the house and change linen (every 3rd day).
Superior properties dose generally offer additional maid service.

Additional service can be arranged for an extra fee such as shopping, cooking, babysitting speed boat and shuttle service. To insure such service it is recommended to inquire.

Compulsory

As self-catering accommodation are not as well know and signing are rarely visible; it is therefore difficult for guest to locate the property hence compulsory to book a start package:

This start package will insure that the traveller(s) will have a nice and pleasant arrival at the accommodation, introduction of the property and general information.

Please note that there is the possibility of booking Rainbow Arrival and Departure upgrade.

The last service assure the guest have no worries about first-day shopping. Shopping list will be provided.

Long-term rental can be negotiated with a better rental price, however the price will still have to include our start package and conditions will not change.

Minimum stay

A minimum of 5 days stay is required when booking beach houses except peak season from 15 Dec to 15 Jan where a minimum of 2 weeks stay is required. 

Except when the property is booked as part of a Maurisun self drive package.

Important

When you’re planing a self-catering accommodation it’s important to note the following:

This type of vacation is not a hotel accommodation and hotel services are not available.
The traveller(s) should be aware of the tropical island weather conditions and the surrounding environment including the local population is also part of the vacation.
These factors are beyond Maurisun’s control and the travellers should consider this as part of the experience.  Standard of accommodation, utensils, location and services such as maid service etc. are an important factor of the rental agreement. It’s therefore important that the traveller(s) read and understand the description/ fact sheet of each accommodation, plus the Booking Conditions on Self-catering
